had just finished one of the huge event by my company...
it is the annual Guess One World One Brand Conference...
this is the 2nd conference held...
last year, the first conference is held in LA..
this year, it was held in Singapore... Ritz Carlton
the conference was on for 3 days... 29 till 31 jan 07
the event was organised by GUESS Inc USA
it was really really tiring...
working like from 630am till 130am daily!
running about ushering ppl..
attend to enquiries...
bringing people around...
we got bullied and bossed around by the ang mohs
most ridiculous thing is that
1 idiot actually ask us to run errands for them on the first night
the theme for the first night is Gala Night
we were all so well dressed for the night
and yet this idiot came over and said
"i wan you girls to go out and buy me 20 big macs and 20 pack large fries"
one of my colleagued answered "in this dress and heels?"
he said "yah! y not?"
she said "Singapore's mac has delivery service, we can call for delivery"
he ans "no! i wan you to go out and buy"
she mumbled "WTF"
he throw us 70 bucks and said "get going"
she told him "70bucks you can get 20 big macs and 20 pack large fries"
he said "i will give u USD then"
she said "sorry! we accept SGD only"
after some arguing, he appears again "there! here is cash"
knowing we got no choice, 2 of us went out to buy
less than 1omins, he asked "where is the food? my crew need time to eat"
arggghh!!! we need time to walk to mac..
mac need time to cook..
n we need time to walk back!
when we finally got back in 25mins..
we jokingly said "hey.. u owe us a big favor.. we went out all the way to buy"
know what he said "favor for buying food? no way! just leave the food on the table and go"
blood boils man~!
there are many unhappy issues happen throughout the event..
americans simply think too highly of themselves.. simply too arrogant
asians to them are nothing..
they see us as 2nd class of human beings..
who said that blond hair, blue eyes are nice..
they are so not friendly, so difficult to please and work with..
